Say it
Hold the orb and speak like you'd tell a friend: “twelve dollars for coffee at Starbucks”. Tape reads the amount, the merchant and the category out of the sentence — filler and thinking noises included.
Say it. It's on the tape.
Tape hears the amount, the place and the category — and files it. On your iPhone. No account, no bank login, nothing leaving the device.

The act
One sentence replaces a form. You never open one.
Hold the orb and speak like you'd tell a friend: “twelve dollars for coffee at Starbucks”. Tape reads the amount, the merchant and the category out of the sentence — filler and thinking noises included.
A pill appears the moment it's filed: Logged $12.00 · Food · Undo. One tap and the guess is gone before it touches the ledger.
The row prints at the top of the tape — torn edge, tear line, tabular amount. No categories to hunt for, no form to fill.
A whole day in one breath
Tape splits one sentence into separate entries and shows you every one before a single thing is written. Splitting a sentence is a guess — and a guess never touches the ledger unconfirmed.
Point it at a receipt
Point the camera at a receipt — or a whole multi-page statement. Every row is read line by line and given a category, and all of it is reviewable before it lands. The image is encrypted on the device.
Siri, with the app closed
Logged — without unlocking the phone. Seven shortcuts are live in Spotlight and the Shortcuts app from the moment Tape is installed. No setup.

Insights & budgets
A category donut, spend over time, and month-to-date cashflow — for whichever window you pick. Budgets show what you set and what you've spent against it. Every total names its own window: today, this week, this month, all time.
Built properly
Full VoiceOver support with single-sentence labels on every composite card, Dynamic Type to the largest accessibility sizes — layouts reflow rather than truncate — Reduce Motion, and a genuine dark mode. iPhone, portrait, iOS 26+.

FAQ
No. Tape is a private money assistant you talk to. You say what you spent; Tape files it. Budgets are there if you want them — set a monthly budget and per-category envelopes, and Tape shows what you set and what you've spent. It never invents a daily allowance you didn't choose.
No. Tape never connects to a bank — there is no login, no sync, nothing to breach. You tell Tape what you spent, in your own words.
No account, no email, no password. There is no server, so there is no "we" holding anything. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
On-device AI running on your iPhone's own chip. Tape hears the amount, the merchant and the category out of a sentence — filler words, thinking noises and mixed languages are handled. The photo of a receipt is encrypted on the device before it's read.
Yes — permanently. Tape works in airplane mode and always will. The only network calls the app makes are the App Store's own, plus one optional user-initiated voice-model download.
Nothing touches the ledger unconfirmed. Every draft is shown to you before it's written, and a confirmation pill with Undo appears the moment an entry is filed. Tap any row on the tape to expand, search or edit it.
One-tap CSV export of every transaction — nothing is uploaded anywhere, so export is just writing a file that's already on your device.
No forms. No bank logins. No data leaving your iPhone.
